“I joined the R&D Department of Compal towards the end of 1989.
I had my best years with Compal. They were years of hard work but during which I grew personally and professionally. There were difficult times, always driven by the ambition for growth and the need for new projects that would contribute to improving our company’s profits. It was only possible by counting on the dedication and hard work of all concerned and of the colleagues who gradually retired and whose work deserves our recognition and gratitude.
The future SUMOL+COMPAL is an enormous challenge!
As the person responsible for R&D and QG, I intend to make the most of skills that complement one another to achieve objectives that in isolation would be impossible to achieve.
I believe that the future lies with people, in creating a team spirit, in the way we communicate and above all in the satisfaction we need to feel in our daily work. We should get ready for all that has yet to be done! And it will have to be done with a great deal of professionalism, realism and common sense, learning along the way and being flexible, quick to react, dedicated and determined, and, of course, with a large slice of imagination.
I shall expect from Management the definition of the guidelines and a description of the horizons we all want to achieve. We will build a new culture that will take account of the vast amount of work already done to get us where we are today.”
