AIM is the European Brands Association. It represents the branded goods industries in Europe on key issues which affect the ability of brand manufacturers to design, distribute and market their brands. AIM’s membership groups 1800 companies of all sizes through corporate members and national associations in 22 countries. These companies are mostly active in every day consumer goods. They employ some two million workers and account for over 350 billion Euro in annual sales in Europe alone. AIM's mission is to create for brands an environment of fair and vigorous competition, fostering innovation and guaranteeing maximum value to consumers now and for generations to come.
ANIRSF - Associação Nacional dos Industriais de Refrigerantes e Sumos de Frutos (Portuguese association of the Soft drinks and fruit juices industrials) - is a sector association, established in the terms of the employer' associations law, that represents the companies dedicated to the production and packing of soft drinks, fruit juices and nectars in national territory. ANIRSF, in compliance with its statutes, may also represent companies responsible for the launching of soft drinks, fruit juices and nectars in the Portuguese market. But, this must be the main activity of these companies and they must do it in an extended form through multiple channels of distribution. Established in 1975, ANIRSF succeeded to the Grémio Nacional dos Industriais de Águas, Refrigerantes e Sumos de Frutos (National Corporation of the Industrials of Waters, Soft Drinks and Fruit Juices), founded in 1963.

BCSD Portugal - Business Council for Sustainable Development is a non-profit organization, established in October 2001 on the initiative of Sonae, Cimpor and Soporcel associated with the WBCSD - World Business Council for Sustainable Development, together with over 33 companies first line of the national economy, with the mission to implement a national guiding principles of the WBCSD. The main mission of the BCSD Portugal is to provide business leadership as a catalyst for change toward sustainable development and promote business in eco-efficiency, innovation and social responsibility. BCSD Portugal has, since its inception, a member of the regional network WBCSD and currently has 120 members.
The Centromarca - Portuguese Association of Business Product Brand - was founded in June 1994 by a group of 24 companies holding branded products, from various sectors, with the aim of creating an association through which it was possible to study together the problems affecting the MARK and coordinate the efforts needed to give an effective response.
The CIP maintains a development model based on market economy and free enterprise, and a partner recognized economic and social influence, competence and consistency of their positions. The modernization of public administration, the adaptation of labor laws to new social and economic realities, the social security legislation and the consolidation of the mesh business associations are also on the orientation of the IPC in order to improve the working conditions of economic agents. The CIP is to work completely independently of any powers and pressure groups.
Incorporated on 18 October 1996, EMBOPAR - Pack of Portugal, SGPS, SA is a holding company formed actualmentente by 69 shareholders, including packing companies and business associations packers, each with a shareholding of 3500 Euros, for a total 241,500 Euros of capital. According to Article 2 of Chapter II of the Contract of the Constitution, the purpose of the Society is "the management of social participation that will hold a commercial company that will adopt the type of limited company which has the concerns the organization and systems management and recovery of packaging waste, under the legislation and forth all the time will regulate the integrated system as an indirect form of economic activities."

Sociedade Ponto Verde S.A. is a private non-profit making organisation that was set up in November 1996 to promote the selective collection, take-back and recycling of packaging waste in Portugal. According to EU legislation transposed into Portuguese law, economic operators placing packaging on the market are responsible for the management and final disposal of packaging waste. However, this responsibility can, by law, be transferred to a properly licensed entity.
When required, UNESDA offers European authorities, institutions and stakeholders convenient and rapid access to a vast pool of expert industry knowledge to assist them in creating policies that are fair, forward-looking and positive - both for the future development of the industry and for the consumer. UNESDA offers similar expertise to international organisations, such as the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and the Codex Alimentarius of the World Health Organisation, and thus encourages dialogue on a global basis.
