There are eight members of the Board of Directors, four of whom form the Executive Committee responsible for the daily management of the company.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors is António Sérgio Eusébio. The members of the Executive Committee are Duarte Pinto (Chief Executive Officer), António Casanova, Rui Frade and José Jordão, and under each of them are 4 to 8 managers responsible for the different departments. Amélia Eusébio, João Eusébio and José Tomaz Pires are Non-Executive Directors.
Born in 1966, in Lisbon. Married, with two sons and one daughter. Joined the Sumol Group in 1989, and for one year worked also as Trainee Assistant at the UCP (Universidade Católica Portuguesa). Began in the Sumol Group as deputy manager of Refrigor (holding company), and later held different positions in the administration of the companies in the Group. He became Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sumolis in April 2000.
Graduate in Economics from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) with a Masters in Company Management from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (UNL). Later did post-graduate studies at the Instituto para o Desenvolvimento da Gestão Empresarial/Instituto Superior de Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa (INDEG/ISCTE) and at UCP, in advanced training in corporate management, information management and control.
Born in 1963, in Lisbon. Married with one daughter. Joined the Sumol Group in 1987 as Management Consultant of Refrigor (a holding). Later held different positions in administration of the companies in the Group, including Quality Control, Research and Development, Marketing and Brand Management. Among other positions, in 2008 became a member of the Board of Directors of Refrigor and Sumolis and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sumolis Gestão de Marcas.
Graduate in Chemical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (1981/86). Completed professional training with a General Management Course (Universidade Nova de Lisboa), Advanced Marketing Programme for Executives (Universidade Católica Portuguesa) and the post-graduation course in Corporate Management at the Instituto para o Desenvolvimento da Gestão Empresarial/Instituto Superior de Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa (INDEG/ISCTE).
Born in Luanda in 1958. Married with one son. Has been working for the Sumol Group since 1986 in management and in the administration of several companies. Has been a Director of the Sumol Group since 1998.
Graduate in Economics from Instituto Superior de Economia, of Universidade Técnica de Lisboa (1981/85), specialising in Quantitative Methods, and has a post graduate degree in Financial Analysis from Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão (1991/92) and in Corporate Management from INDEG/ISCTE (2004/05). A Financial Analyst accredited by the European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies, a Chartered Account and an Instructor certified by the IEFP.
Born in Lisbon in 1952. Married with one son. Joined Compal towards the end of 1993 and held several positions until becoming a Director of the company in 2006. His career began in Socinca (1980/86) and he then went on to work through several positions in Johnson & Johnson (1987/89), Vetiquímica (1990) and in Scott Paper (1991/93).
Graduate in Chemical Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico da Universidade Técnica de Lisboa and completed PAGE – Programa Avançado de Gestão para Executivos at Universidade Católica, in 2000.
Born in Torres Novas in 1965. Married with two daughters and one son. Director of Sumolis since 2003, and has occupied management and administrative positions in the Sumol Group since 1999. Before this he was the Administrative and Financial Manager of Compaq Computer Portugal (1997-99), Digital Equipment Portugal (1996-97) and Finance Manager in Pepsi-Cola International (1994-96).
Graduate of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Corporate Management (1983/88), has an MBA in International Management from the same university (1992-94) and a post-graduate degree in Corporate Management from INDEG/ISCTE (2004/05).
Born in Lisbon in1955. Married with one son and one daughter. Joined Compal in 1992 and has been Director since 2007. Previously occupied positions in several companies, in Fernando Araújo Import & Export, Canada (1978/80), Rima-Nixdorf (1980), Tabaqueira (1980/83), Right Step Group, in Canada and the United States of America (1983/90) and in Right Step International, Spain (1990/91). Currently is also a member of the Board of Directors of Sensafruit, a joint venture with Compal and the Osborne Group for the Spanish market.
Bachelors degree in Company Organisation and Management from ISCTE U.N., in 1977, completed his degree in Economics at the Instituto Superior de Economia Universidade Técnica de Lisboa and completed PAGE – Programa Avançado de Gestão para Executivos da Universidade Católica, in 2000.
Born in Faro in 1955. Married with two sons. Joined the Sumol Group in 1979 after a six-month vocational training course, after which he occupied several positions in the industrial area. Later occupied positions in the administration of the companies of the Group, among them Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cibal SA, of Sumolis Gestão de Marcas SA and Sasel SA. Currently Chairman of ICAP - Instituto Civil de Autodisciplina da Publicidade and Vice-Chairman of APAN – Associação Portuguesa de Anunciantes.
Graduate in Mechanical Engineering of Instituto Superior Técnico (1973/78) and later post-graduation in management at the Instituto para o Desenvolvimento da Gestão Empresarial/Instituto Superior de Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa (INDEG/ISCTE).
