The natural carbonated water used in the Frize brand, is bottled at the bottling plant located at Vila Flor, Trás-os-Montes.
The initial investment in the industrial unit at Vila Flor was made in 2002. To recover the plant, a modern bottling line was installed that doubled production capacity to 20 million litres/year. Investment also went into building a white filling room and a new storage area. The launch of the flavoured Frize range meant an additional investment for the installation of new equipment and for building a formulation room where flavours are added to the natural carbonated water.
Investment was also needed throughout the campaign to launch the product.
The flavoured Frize range was well received by the market which meant that in 2004 investment was required to increase the production capacity of the unit, with the installation of one more filling line with capacity for 40 thousand litres of water/hour. With this increase, the plant now has a total filling capacity of 65 thousand litres of water/hour in 250 and 750 ml glass bottles. To accompany this rise in production a new water source was drilled so as to increase the volume of water resources required to accompany the dynamic rise of the Frize brand. In 2004 a new commercial warehouse was also built at Vile Flor.
All investment made in the Vila Flor plant in recent years allowed the company to respond to the demands of producing the Frize range and to keep up with market growth.
To guarantee the highest levels of hygiene and quality in the production and management of the Frize brand, Certification of its Quality Management System was extended to the Vila Flor unit.
